Re: Parked Aircraft

I understand all this. What FR24 does provide is a list of the aircraft currently at the airport including details of aircraft type, airline, etc. This information allows a comparison with what RT provides, and in my experience shows that RT is not currently parking all the aircraft that are at an a...

Re: Parked Aircraft

"There’s always the problem of what data to compare it against. What’s the “ground truth” you compare the RT data with?"

I use FR24 data to see what aircraft are at an airport.

Re: Parked Aircraft

Hi, Thank you for the explanation, I hope you find a way of improving the parked aircraft situation. The airports at which I have found the issue most in testing are EGCC and EGPH, both with good RT coverage. First thing in the morning, before the first wave departs, only about 60% of the actual air...

Parked Aircraft

Hi, There is an ongoing discussion in the PSXT forum about the parked aircraft at airports generated by RTv4 data. It has been observed that when PSXT starts and parks aircraft (using RT data only) not all aircraft that have arrived at the airport within the last 24 hours and are still present in re...

Thank you for this information, I shall use this to understand the likely situation at an airport better.

Re: RT coverage

Hi, I just want to know if I can expect good coverage at an airport before I plan a flight. The current plots do not show when there is good coverage from a data provider who does not supply signal strength to RT; so the RT data sent to PSXT at an airport might be better than indicated on the plot. ...

Re: RT coverage

Hi, Thank you for the explanation. The plots are therefore pointless for users who just want to know what the full RT coverage is like at a particular airport for their flight sim sessions. Is there any way you can show what the overall RT coverage is like at an airport so that a user of PSXT for ex...

Re: RT coverage

Hi, Regarding the RealTraffic airport coverage plots, I am finding the information displayed unhelpful for determining the RT coverage I should expect at the airport being looked at. In the notes on the website flyrealtraffic.com/coverage you state "Note that for data feeds not providing signal...
