Weird altitudes with some oceanic flights

Good morning,

Just wanted to pass on some weird altitudes...not sure if it's a data error at your source or something in the algorithm, but wanted to let you know none the less. Not a huge deal, boy I feel sorry for those PAX in the jets travelling at FL900!!! LOL! This was in between KSFO and Hawaii.

Ha! Interesting! I just went back to that same location and timestamp, and I don't see those altitudes. Are you using the current version of RT?

I think so. It updates on it's own, does it not? :)

10.0.254?

Must have been a glitch in the matrix, as I have done what you did and spotter moded (trademarked that term, :) ) to the same place, and lo and behold, normal altitudes!

Hey Balthasar!

I'm still seeing glitches in the real traffic stream with weird altitudes.
In all the times I have seen it, it is an altitude increase of 53500 ft.
I have included a another snapshot that has the commanded MCP information as a reference.
This is with version 10.0.258

It always returns to normal after a time. Sometimes, it's a minute or two. In this case, it was about 10 minutes.

I tried an unintall and reinstall, including deleting the 'insidesystems' folder in the Users folder to delete all settings. Unfortunately, nothing changed. So, I'm wondering if it's a streamimg data problem.

That was indeed a bug that required some very special constellations to rear its head... it's fixed now in the 10.0.259 release (and 10.0.260 beta).

Awesome! Glad to hear that you were able to isolate and fix the issue.

The virtual PAX I’m sure thank you too. I’m sure they were a little lightheaded cruising at FL900! Especially the occasional C208 or C172 the were thrown up there! HA!
